Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to oversee the smooth functioning of all enterprise-level IT operations for a federal agency. This role includes managing virtualized infrastructure, Network Operations Center (NOC), Security Operations Center (SOC), and overseeing the execution of complex technical projects in IT infrastructure migration and cloud. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage operational processes and procedures to ensure the reliable delivery of IT services, including overseeing networks, servers, databases, and critical IT components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee IT Operations: Ensure the smooth functioning of all enterprise-level IT operations, including virtualized infrastructure, NOC, and SOC.
• Project Management: Directly oversee the execution of complex technical projects in IT infrastructure migration and cloud.
• Operational Processes: Design, implement, and manage operational processes and procedures to ensure the reliable delivery of IT services.
• System Oversight: Oversee networks, servers, databases, and other critical IT components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security protocols. Implement best practices for cybersecurity and disaster recovery.
• Strategic Alignment: Align operational activities with strategic objectives and contribute insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
• Support Mission-Critical Operations: Ensure the reliable and secure delivery of services vital to supporting mission-critical operations and emergency response efforts.

Required Qualifications:

• Certifications: Must hold CISSP, CCNA or CCNP. Must have an active Professional Cloud Solutions Architect Certification in two or more clouds (AWS, GCP, OCI, Azure).
• Experience: Extensive experience overseeing enterprise-level IT operations, including virtualized infrastructure, NOC, and SOC.
• Project Management: Proven experience in managing complex technical projects in IT infrastructure migration and cloud.
• Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in network management, server administration, database management, and IT infrastructure.
• Compliance and Security: In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security protocols.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience working in a team environment.
• Must have an active Public Trust clearance (must be in place prior to start)
• Must have strong communication skills (important for orals)
• Willing to work for DMI or KBR.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen***

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in emergency response or mission-critical operations.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in IT infrastructure and cloud computing.
• Familiarity with IT governance and compliance standards.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen***

Candidates must have strong technical abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a teamwork emphasis.

The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a national agency check and background investigation after hire to obtain a badge for facility access and user accounts.
