Job Description

Join a dynamic quality assurance team dedicated to ensuring the highest standards in food safety and quality control. This role involves conducting product evaluations, risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct product evaluations and risk assessments.
  • Perform quality assurance for shipping and receiving.
  • Calibrate equipment and conduct pH, brix, and color assessments.
  • Adjust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary.
  • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with HACCP, CCPs, GMPs, and SQF certifications.
  • Assist in preparing for FDA audits.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and work collaboratively in groups.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of quality control processes.

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of HACCP, CCPs, and GMPs.
  • Experience with audits and SQF certifications.
  • Strong food safety and lab knowledge.
  • Proficiency in pH, brix, and color assessments.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work well in teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with FDA audits is advantageous.
  • A proactive approach to learning and career growth.
  • Strong presence and ability to coach and teach SOP standards.
  • The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2-3 years of experience, with 5+ years preferred.

Work Environment

This role is based in a large production and warehouse setting. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with two shifts available: the first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, and the second shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. The environment emphasizes quality control and offers long-term growth opportunities. Candidates should be self-starters eager to learn and grow within the company.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
