Western National is seeking an EDI Analyst to join our team!
The individual in this role will have the opportunity to coordinate accurate and complete electronic transmission of Workers’ Compensation forms and data, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting error resolution efforts.
What are the responsibilities and opportunities of this role?
- Provides subject matter expertise on Workers’ Compensation EDI processes and supports the development of documentation and training materials.
- Provides direction to internal and external resources.
- Communicates updates or changes in EDI requirements and processes to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Troubleshoots Workers’ Compensation reporting errors and data issues; collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
- Identifies new requirements they may require policy and form language changes.
- Maintains up-to-date records and updates data fields in EDI systems and reporting platforms.
- Analyzes and interprets jurisdictional Workers’ Compensation EDI requirements and ensures compliance with policy, form, and regulatory updates.
- Identifies Workers’ Compensation reporting issues and recommends solutions to enhance process accuracy and compliance.
- Assists in training internal stakeholders to reduce EDI errors and increase understanding of compliance requirements.
- Collaborates with claims, compliance, and IT teams to ensure accurate configuration and functionality of EDI systems.
- Seeks relevant information and answers to key questions from defined sources.
- Collaborates effectively as part of a team by sharing information, actively listening, and keeping relevant stakeholders informed and updated.
- Engages in both formal and informal group problem solving to address immediate issues and proactively identifies areas for improvement within the work group.
- Makes routine decisions independently; escalates non routine or complex issues appropriately.
- Demonstrates intermediate analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision making.

Requirements
What are the must-have qualifications for a candidate?

- Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in lieu of degree acceptable.
- Proficient use of various core systems, office and computer equipment, and software packages.
- Prior experience with multiple platforms, including Verisk.
- Insurance industry-related certification or experience in Workers’ Compensation.
What will our ideal candidate have?
- Knowledge of IAIABC, NCCI, and Section 111 reporting preferred.
Compensation overview
The full hiring range for this role is $58,000 – $79,750, annually. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate, as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role. Candidates looking for compensation outside of the posted range are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their individual qualifications and / or may be considered for other positions.
