The Role

Reporting directly to the Configuration & Environment Management team leader, you will oversee deploying, configuring, and managing Murex Software projects, including upgrading, and migrating customer databases. You will also provide the related consultancy and support for Murex Clients.

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities, part of an international context and in collaboration with internal delivery teams will be

Environment deployment and Management Operations

  • Deploy and manage Murex Software needed for Murex client projects using Murex tools and scripts
  • Perform basic smoke tests before delivering the needed products
  • Act as a first level support for already deployed Murex products, re-directing and following the issues with the corresponding support teams

Configuration Management

  • Use Murex configuration management tools to import/export configuration items and analyze related issues
  • Apply the configuration management methodologies

Conversion of a customer database

  • Migration sequence execution and stabilization
  • Follow up on conversion defects

Setting Methodologies and Procedures

  • Contribute to creating the environment and configuration management methodologies, conversion processes, communication workflows, templates and documentations
  • Customize and document the installation and the conversion/upgrade procedures

Role Evolution

After few years of experience within the team, a configuration and environment analyst could evolve towards a technical stream lead role, managing several projects internally and at client site, providing the needed consultancy and best practices related to environment and configuration management and conversion processes.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or information technology engineering (or related discipline)
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the IT or engineering field.
  • Strong command of English (Both spoken and written) is required as this role needs to liaise with global team and counterparties.
  • Experience in UNIX Operation
  • Experience in RDMS Operation
  • Experience in DevOps (GIT, Ansible)
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects, Visio…)

A real plus:

  • Knowledge in Python
  • Knowledge in cloud computing
  • Knowledge in technical machines specifications
  • Knowledge in XML manipulation

  • Good interpersonal skills and problems solving capabilities
  • Ability to partner with technical teams and key stakeholders from our APAC offices (Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, India and Australia)
