Position Overview
The Center for Orientation and Transition Programs (OTP) is responsible for providing orientation,
onboarding, and programs to aid in student transition at the University of Kansas. OTP is a unit within
Academic Success, a division of Academic Affairs.
The Parent Orientation Coordinator will support the planning, execution, and assessment of programs
and experience of the parents and families of new incoming students as they go through Freshman and
Transfer Orientation at the University of Kansas. The Parent Orientation Coordinator will work
collaboratively with the Orientation & Transition Programs team to create robust, intentional, and
inclusive programs for parents and families both in-person and virtually. The ideal candidate will possess
experience in program planning, organization, and execution, the ability to work collaboratively, and the
excitement to curate Orientation experiences for new students and their guests.
