Salary Range $56,000 - $70,000*

Job Description:

Role Summary

Responsible for supervising a team of facilities technicians, and mechanics, in a retail distribution center, to include troubleshooting, and repair, of all automation and building systems. This position will report directly to the Facilities Maintenance Manager.

Role Description (Duties & Responsibilities)

  • Helps with interviewing and hiring of new staff
  • Oversees, and directs, the work of the maintenance staff, as well as contractors as needed
  • Conducts daily meetings with maintenance team
  • Handles scheduling to account for overtime, paid time off, and leaves of absence, etc.
  • Orders parts and supplies, while adhering to the maintenance budget
  • Responds to maintenance work requests
  • Performs trouble shooting and repair of equipment as needed
  • Handles staff concerns and disciplinary discussions
  • Escalates issues to Facility Manager as needed
  • Makes sure the team adheres to safety standards
  • Ensures the team follows company policies and procedures
  • Attends meetings in place of Facilities Manager when necessary

Required Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):

  • High School Degree or GED required
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Experience as a maintenance technician in a retail distribution warehouse environment required
  • Strong mechanical and electrical background
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers and schematics
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • PC literacy and demonstrated capability with Windows, Microsoft: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and

Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions (only required for Fulfillment Center jobs)

  • Standing for extended periods of time(scheduled shift (except breaks)
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Push or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Walking extended distances throughout the center
  • Bending, stooping, climbing ladders or stairs
  • Manual dexterity of hands to count, bag, tag, sort, and package freight
  • Must be able to see and hear equipment and warning signals
  • Must be able to distinguish between colors
