Mission and Goals

We’re looking for a Senior Software QA Engineer to take a leading role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our Web Browser on Windows and Mac. In this role, you’ll define testing strategies, drive automation efforts, collaborate cross-functionally, and help foster a culture of quality across the organization.

Objectives

  • Perform thorough manual testing to ensure product quality and support other testing efforts.
  • Report, document, and clearly communicate findings and test results to the development team
  • Participate in product analysis and design discussions, providing a QA perspective early in the development cycle
  • Join planning and grooming meetings to align on priorities, clarify requirements, and estimate testing efforts
  • Identify opportunities for time-saving improvements in QA processes and contribute to their implementation
  • Execute automated test suites and report results, ensuring continuous feedback during development
  • Contribute to and maintain our Python-based automated test framework, recommending new areas for automation coverage
  • Design and develop custom testing tools to support manual and automated testing efforts
  • Collaborate closely with international team members and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases
  • Advocate for test automation best practices and help drive a culture of quality across the team

Competencies

  • Experience in QA area for at least 5 years
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge of Python or another OOP language, ideally with experience in test automation frameworks (e.g. Python unittest, Selenium, Playwright)
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools and automation to enhance testing efficiency and productivity
  • Experience in testing Windows apps and modern websites
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. TeamCity, Jenkins) and Git version control system
  • Solid understanding of various testing techniques (black box, white box, exploratory, regression, smoke, and integration testing)
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and browser developer tools
  • Ability to work in an international team
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently; takes pride in delivering high-quality work and celebrates team success
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; active knowledge of English language

Additional desired skills

  • Experience mentoring junior QA engineers or leading QA initiatives
  • Understanding of performance and security testing principles
  • Experience in the browser or web platform domain
  • ISTQB or similar certification
