Job Position Summary:

  • Design, build, and maintain a highly scalable cloud-native digital services platform with many data products and services.
  • Show initiative and skill at identifying bottlenecks through profiling, metrics, and solutions for low-latency processing and services.
  • Thrive in collaborative environments with a proactive, self-driven approach and strong sense of ownership. Actively mentor junior developers through both hands-on guidance and by leading by example.
  • Provide technical leadership to small teams of more junior staff, but 90% of your time will be spent on hands-on implementation and feature delivery
  • Be seen as an expert within the technical components of the domains/products/pipelines/integrations

Key Requirements:

  • software development experience, strongly emphasizing writing code and delivering features.
  • experience building & maintaining highly scalable, performant, and fault-tolerant data processing pipelines and services on AWS
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical leadership capacity, building services consumed by internal and external stakeholders (Engineering, Analytics, Digital Products, Data Science groups etc.)
  • Demonstrable experience in collecting and using metrics to fine-tune latencies in APIs and Services as well as speeding up data processing pipelines.
  • Experienced in code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, and application security, and excellent instincts for software architecture
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: TypeScript, GraphQL, NodeJS
  • Strong skills in Extreme Programming/ other Agile frameworks.

Pay Range:

$75 - $85 per hour
