Position Specific Summary
The Housing Development Project Manager position at the City of Tucson's Department of Housing and Community Development is responsible for managing the planning, coordination, and execution of affordable housing construction projects from pre-development through project closeout, including monitoring contractor performance. This position ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations, including local, state, and federal housing guidelines.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Deputy Director. This position exercises supervision over project personnel.

Bachelor's degree
Experience
Five (5) years of directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in:
Construction project management, with a focus on affordable or multifamily housing.
Working with affordable housing financing (e.g., LIHTC, HOME, CDBG).
Agency requirements and construction compliance standards (Davis-Bacon, Section 3, etc.) review.
Multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience in housing development, with a track record of successful project completion.
Working with zoning and permitting regulations, land use planning, and environmental considerations.
