Express Employment Professionals Specialized Recruiting Group is hiring a full-time Epic DBA. Our client is looking for an individual that will ensure stability, efficiency, and security of Epic operational database environments, overseeing administration and performance optimization.

This is a direct hire position. It is hybrid work schedule with 1 day a week in the office. Our client offers a competitive package including an annual salary of $120,000 to $130,000 depending on experience.

Our client is a leading academic and healthcare institution in Philadelphia, dedicated to medical education, research, and patient care. It integrates clinical practice with innovation, offering specialized services and advancing healthcare solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Epic DBA: The preferred candidate will have direct experience overseeing Epic's InterSystems Iris/Cache (Chronicles) database, maintaining high availability, optimizing performance, and ensuring adherence to industry standards.

Ideal Areas of Expertise:

• • Oversee the management and upkeep of Epic Iris database systems and operational databases (Chronicles).
  • Track system performance, optimize configurations, and address performance inefficiencies.
  • Handle data backup procedures, restoration processes, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Work closely with Epic application specialists, report developers, and infrastructure teams to maintain system stability and efficiency.
  • Implement patches, system upgrades, and Epic version updates in collaboration with application teams and Epic support.
  • Maintain adherence to healthcare data security standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA)
