Rooms To Go is seeking an Operations Training Manager in Lakeland, FL who can assist our operational business units with developing and facilitating training programs for team members. The qualified individual will assess the needs of a business, implement training and development plans, and facilitate a wide variety of training programs that enhance the effectiveness of our workforce. We have a need for a dedicated trainer to create impactful learning experiences that drive lasting change and become deeply ingrained in workplace culture. Candidates must be passionate about training, development, creating impactful learning experiences and driving organizational growth. The training manager is located within the business but interacts closely with other support resources such as human resources, learning management and other training subject matter experts.

Operations Training Manager

We are looking to employ a training manager with outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. A training manager is expected to be a strategic thinker with fantastic organizational and time management skills. You will have excellent research skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

To ensure success, candidates should understand the business operation and decision-making processes with a keen interest in producing targeted and tangible results by creating an effective and efficient workforce. Candidates need to balance being a training professional as well as being approachable to all levels in the organization. Candidates will be innovative, strong decision-makers and outstanding facilitators of learning and change.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths and consultation with managers.
  • Curate, develop and facilitate training content for various departments across multiple operational facilities addressing specific business needs.
  • Develop training guides and manuals (as applicable) that target tangible results.
  • Manage the logistics of training, schedule the necessary details and oversee training expenses and the allocation of any additional resources needed.
  • Implement effective and purposeful training methods demonstrating exemplary facilitation skills with a variety of delivery options.
  • Evaluate organizational performance to ensure that training meets business needs and improves performance.
  • Assess associates’ skills, performance and productivity to identify areas of improvement.
  • Reinforce the Company’s Leadership Principles through all training and development activities.
  • Effectively communicate with team members and management.
  • Keep abreast of training trends and best practices.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, education or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in training and development management.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Superb track record in developing and executing successful training programs.
  • Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Familiar with traditional and modern training processes.
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
  • Strategic, creative, and growth mindset.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary.
  • Work with the LMS team to configure and customize the learning environment to meet organizational needs.
  • Developing comprehensive learning paths tailored to various roles within an organization.
  • Strong project management skills and effective communication/collaboration skills.
  • 30-40% travel is required.
