My name is Valdas Adomaitis, and I’m leading Enterprise & DB Platforms department within IT Service Management at Telia Lietuva. Our department consists of over 30 IT professionals delivering high-quality IT infrastructure services both internally and to our external customers. Currently we’re looking for a Microsoft Platforms team manager.

Microsoft Platforms team consists of ~15 L2 / L3 engineers supporting Microsoft Windows Server landscape with a variety of server roles like AD, AD CS, DNS, File, RDS, Hyper-V, Exchange, etc. as well as managing m365 services like Exchange Online, Teams, Sharepoint Online, Azure AD, Secure Score. Just to give a taste of the environment – there are 3000+ internal / external servers in the support scope.

As a Microsoft Platforms team manager, you will:

  • Lead the team by hiring, developing talent, creating a positive work environment, setting goals, coordinating and controlling team’s work to reach the agreed goals, KPIs, SLAs, reporting on the achievements and managing performance.
  • Build relationships with other teams, remove obstacles, address stakeholder and customer needs, manage expectations.
  • Manage Microsoft Platforms lifecycle: assess current state and architecture, define roadmaps, drive implementation while considering technical and financial aspects.
  • Supervise team daily operations - resolving alerts, incidents, requests, changes, act as an escalation point for high severity incidents.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvements within team processes, toolsets, infrastructure, provide leadership and technical guidance for transformation initiatives across the enterprise.

Your experience:

  • You have experience in managing a team as a Team Lead / Team Manager.
  • You have in-depth technical knowledge and experience in managing Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure at a large scale, including networking and virtualization and various server roles.
  • You are knowledgeable in m365 services.
  • You are familiar with ITIL framework.
  • You’ve managed an IT environment considering availability, capacity, performance, observability and security.
  • You are great with data analysis and reporting.
  • You are fluent in Lithuanian and English language (written and spoken).
  • You’ve delivered IT services to external customers.

Monthly salary range for this position 5000 – 6500 Eur gross plus annual bonuses which are depending on your competencies and your and Telia results.
