Senior Software Development Engineer in Mobile & Digital Identity

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, validate, and maintain core back-end components of the Travel Ready product.
• Build cloud-native applications and services from scratch using state-of-the-art technologies and concepts, including Skube SDK, Quarkus, Kafka streaming technology, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and REST APIs.
• Collaborate with various departments, including product management, UX, customer implementation, and sales, to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Drive architecture decisions with the support of our architects and ensure a seamless development and deployment lifecycle along with our DevOps.
• Work closely with teams across multiple sites and applications to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Must-have skills:
  • Strong experience in Skube Java framework and cloud-native application development.
  • Proficiency in state-of-the-art technologies such as Quarkus, Kafka, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and REST APIs.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Advanced and specialized technical/functional knowledge in software development and architecture.
• Bonus skills:
  • Experience in Python and Open-Back end development.
  • Experience in agile methodologies and SAFe framework.
  • Knowledge in digital identity, regulatory compliance, border control, and biometric systems.

About Travel Ready Product: The Travel Ready product is designed and developed in the Mobile & Digital Identity Engineering group, which is based in Europe and India. The team's mission is to innovate and create the future experience of travelers by building a global interoperability platform between digital identities and travelers' verification checkpoints. The team is multicultural and operates in an Agile development environment.

Specific accountabilities:

• Analyse specifications

_ Define user requirements for the development of new (or upgrade of existing) software solutions.

• Design systems and code

_ Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.

_ Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.

_ Develop software according to Amadeus standards.

_ Model, design and implement databases.

• Test and maintain the software

_ Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.

_ Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.

_ Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst

• Document your work

_ Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.
