APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Developing cutting-edge audio features across all Apple products and services such as iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Vision Pro and supporting our existing ecosystem by triaging issues, designing and introducing high quality, well tested, regression free code changes. Working across all Apple products and playing a central role in the audio software stack by developing software, resolving issues and providing developer-facing APIs for both our external and internal clients. Working in a highly visible part of the stack that mediates audio interactions across all applications on the system by adding to a complex media policy engine that takes input from many signals on the system. Working closely with Apple's design team and other engineering teams to implement audio routing and system policies that is customized for every single Apple product in a complex cross-platform codebase. Primary bug screening and triage engineer for the Audio Session team which is responsible for media policy decisions and audio routing across all Apple hardware platforms (e.g. iPhones, iPads, Apple Watch, Apple TV). Maintaining the team's Continuous Integration pipelines and responsible for creating new tests and investigating any test failures and regressions. Supporting existing ecosystem by conducting cross functional design discussions, making code changes and triaging any issues. Running time critical investigations for high visibility issues reported from the field and by executives and sharing the results with senior management. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $146,307 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
