Key Areas of Responsibility:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Research & Support:

You will be asked to provide support across a number of tasks: As a planner, this means you will be spending a large portion of your time utilizing the research platforms and providing valuable outputs that inform business decisions.

Functional Responsibilities:

You will execute the planning, setup, delivery, and optimization of scoped media channel platforms. This includes:

  • Pulling research in Simmons/MRI, Pathmatics, etc., for direct publisher plans
  • Managing RFPs and IOs, trafficking sheets, and partner communication, including collecting invoices, invoice reconciliation, end of month billing.

Account Maintenance

You will be responsible for upkeep of client status documents, flowcharts, billing trackers, and keeping all documents up to date on a weekly basis with supervision from media planners. You will also be tasked with sending out meeting recap notes to the appropriate team via slack and or email.

Collaboration

You will continue to effectively build positive relationships with internal teams (ex. Brand Management, Project Management, Strategy, and Creative) to facilitate effective workflow. You should effectively manage up to AMD, Supervisor and Sr. Media Planner by proactively communicating the status of projects and elevating conversations when necessary.

Client/Partner Responsibilities

You will manage and drive communication with internal stakeholders and external partners. Demonstrated timely and effective communication with publishers and external vendors; incl. negotiating, vendor setup, ongoing stewardship (especially for direct buys). You will actively attend Partner knowledge sharing sessions and proactively identify and set up Partner meetings when appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience with a media agency, experience with a fully integrated agency is a plus
  • Strong foundation in cross-channel planning experience, with expertise in Digital and Social (Traditional channels are a plus but not required)
  • Manage and monitor active media campaigns including correspondence with partners and manage/escalate points of issue
  • Ability to pull data and extract insights into meaningful learnings and recommendations that answer for the client brief/goals.
  • Strong communication skills to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and organized
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
  • Create and manage RFPs for vendors as well as negotiate and finalize Media Plans
  • Create Spec documents to pass back to creative and client teams
  • Experience in audience and research tools is a plus (Simmons, Media Ocean, Media Radar etc)

Regarding compensation, the range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as a full-time employee of Mekanism in the United States. Salaries will vary on the basis of various factors, including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.

Salary: $67,000 - $70,000
