EDUCATION
Completion of a Master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university, possession of a valid credential, authorizing service as an instructional administrator.
EXPERIENCE
Administrative service experience at site level required. Three years of teaching or related certificated experience. Experience in elementary and secondary schools preferred.
CREDENTIALS AND LICENSES:
▪ Must be able to possess a California General Administration, Standard Administration, or Administrative Services credential in California;
▪ Valid California Driver’s license;
▪ Maintain possession of such licenses during employment.
Job Description
Coordinator – Short Term Independent Study/Attendance Recovery
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Student Support Services, provides leadership and works collaboratively with all sites and departments to implement and monitor Short Term Independent Study attendance recovery activities, Pre K through grade 12. Monitor attendance and coordinate curriculum for short-term independent study to ensure alignment of curriculum, instruction, and assessment with state content standards, national, state, and local assessments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Sit, look downward, reach, (up to frequently): stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, push, pull, (occasionally): repetitive hand activities within close reach, such as files, key board and handwriting (frequently): lift/carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally), extensive reading; use seeing, hearing and speaking (including in-person, phone and publicaddress).
Working Conditions: Indoor office, outside school yard, and grounds. Exposure to: seasonal temperature variations, dust and wind, traffic, food preparation smells, use of office equipment,t and desk supplies.
