Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer specializing in PowerBI to join our team in a hybrid work arrangement based in Mexico City, Mexico (CDMX). In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions that drive business intelligence and analytics initiatives across our organization.

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using PowerBI and other relevant technologies
  • Design and implement efficient ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
  • Create and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights
  • Develop and maintain data models that support business intelligence and reporting needs
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all data systems
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and PowerBI

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on PowerBI
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL and experience with data modeling techniques
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing ETL processes and data warehousing solutions
  • Experience working with large-scale data processing and analytics
  • Strong understanding of business intelligence concepts and data analytics
  • Familiarity with Python or R programming languages (preferred)
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate certification (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with regular presence in our Mexico City office
