Job Description

Purpose of Position: Under moderate latitude for independent initiative and judgment, performs and responsible for all administrative tasks within the department of Hospital Police, including but not limited to:

  • Responsible for the review, and submission of operational reports to the Chief of Hospital Police
  • Assists the Workplace violence Coordinator with the Workplace Violence Prevention Sub- Committee Meetings/ spreadsheets
  • Communicates in collaboration with Hospital Police Chief, Captain, and Human Resources to monitoring personnel compliance as per H+H, JC, CMS and DCJS standards
  • Monitors the environment of the Administrative office
  • Assists with department timekeeping
  • Supervises the office administration and office record keeping activities of the department.
  • Responsible for employee supervision, performance and employee development of assigned personnel in areas of responsibility and accountability.
  • Assists the preparation and publication of operational manuals and procedures.
  • Ensures that compliance policies and procedures current and followed.
  • Reviews scheduling work queues ensuring timely completion
  • Prepares Power Point Presentations
  • Schedules meetings in person and via Webex for the Chief of Hospital Police
  • Participates in meetings, records and types meeting minutes
  • Evaluates workflow processes and assists in developing methods to improve efficiently and work flow
  • Ensures contingency plans are initiated during emergencies such as, Fire Alerts, IT and power outages
  • Monitors equipment & and environments, submits, tracks work orders
  • Works in the ID office as required
  • Requisitions equipment and supplies as needed

Minimum Qualifications

1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Community Health, Psychology or related discipline with one year of full-time experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity in business management systems, general administration, health care and medical/patient systems administration; or,

2. A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.
