The BSC Oracle Developer secures technical support on current and future applications that generate business value for Air Liquide internal and external customers. The developer will be part of a team that is responsible for providing “24 x 7 x 365” application maintenance and management support for Air Liquide’s operations in the Americas hub. This position will perform incident management for in-scope applications, ensuring the incident is managed throughout its life cycle until the issue is closed. The BSC support team performance will be measured via ticket and performance based KPIs. The Oracle Developer must be able to create, modify, and test the codes, scripts, and forms that allow the system to run different types of applications within the EBS environment.
Working closely with business and solution experts, the Developer will contribute significantly in the translation of business requirements into technical specifications, articulating tasks that cover all aspects including databases, user interface and reporting capabilities. This person will also work closely with the Solutions Architecture team to determine the best platform for the solution and to ensure alignment and compliance with standards, methods, and tools used in the creation process.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 and 3 support for in scope applications
- Perform new developments
- Recommend and implement efficiency improvements
- Follow and enforce Air Liquide’s change management processes
- Meet with stakeholders to elucidate requirements
- Work closely with Solution Experts and DBAs to enhance application program performance
- Recommend and design a solution, using appropriately selected technologies
- Perform system analysis, review and correct errors in programs
- Implement a solution using a variety of technologies
- Develop and maintain integrations between Oracle EBS and other enterprise systems using technologies such as APIs, web services, and data transfer utilities.
- Perform system analysis, review and correct errors in programs
- Provide technical assistance, problem resolution and troubleshooting support
- Work with DBA’s to performance tune SQL’s, application programs and instances
- Produce technical documentation of the solution developed
- Provide support for implemented software solutions
- Provide assistance to other developers as needed
- Modify existing code to optimize Oracle applications
- Upgrade and maintain existing software
- Keep abreast of the latest software technological developments in their area of work (frameworks, development methodologies)

Qualifications
Education, Training or Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related discipline, coupled with prior experience as a software developer
- 5+ years experience working with Oracle EBS development toolsets
Language Requirements
- Spanish fluency required
- English: Advanced proficiency required
- French language ability a plus
General Requirements and Knowledge
- Exceptional PL/SQL programming skills, with a proven ability to design and develop complex database solutions.
- Required experience with Oracle Forms / Reports / Workflow / WebADI and Form Personalizations.
- Experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) or other web development technologies relevant to EBS extensions.
- Strong experience in multiple Oracle EBS modules (e.g., Financials, Supply Chain, Manufacturing).
- Extensive experience with Oracle BI Publisher (XML Publisher) for advanced report development and customization.
- Experience with SOA Suite (BPEL, OSB, B2B) and ODI (Oracle Data Integrator) is a plus.
- Proficiency with schema design and implementation using Oracle relational database technologies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Good problem solving, troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
