Adjunct Faculty, Bassoon Instructor - Department of Music
The Rowan University Department of Music announces an Adjunct Professor of Bassoon position (part-time, non-tenure track) to begin September 1, 2025. The successful candidate will join a thriving music program with a proud and long-standing tradition of excellence in Education, Performance, Music Therapy, and Music Industry and Business. The Department of Music is committed to providing collaborative opportunities and inclusive programming for its nearly 400 music majors. This Adjunct Bassoon Professor must demonstrate excellence as a teacher of bassoon, as well as significant experience and accomplishment as a performer, and wind chamber music coach. A master's degree in music is required.
The primary responsibility of the position is to teach weekly applied lessons for undergraduate students. Other responsibilities primarily include recruitment: participating in on-campus recruitment events, recruiting independently, and collaborating with other faculty on recruitment strategies.
