Spherion Gainesville, FL has a client seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator/Assistant to provide administrative support with specialized HR duties that include managing employee records, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and providing support for HR policies and procedures. Location: Gainesville FL

Schedule: FT 9AM - 5PM

Pay Rate: $25/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and maintain policies and procedures to ensure human resource operational activities are conducted in compliance with federal labor and wage law(s).
  • Follow American Associations and state authority established regulations and standards as applicable.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting open positions, scheduling interviews, managing applications, and processing background checks.
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding processes, participate in orientation, ensure a smooth transition and provide necessary resources. May also participate in exit interviews.
  • Ensure newly hired employees? information is accurate and complete to facility the proper employment requirements.
  • Maintain employee records, both digitally and physically. Participate in the coordination of continuing education and employee surveys. Prepare reports and documentation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees, answering questions and aiding with HR-related matters.
  • Assist with health care renewal and coordination of benefits open enrollment process and other benefits programs.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related inquiries.
  • Work with senior leadership to post job advertisements for hiring.
  • Ensure payroll is submitted timely and accurately, and the coordination of its involvement with the 401(k) plan(s), and tax reporting.
  • Retain employee relations complaints, performance improvement plans, conflict resolution, and counseling records with department directors & supervisors related to human resources policies in confidentiality.
  • Ensure all HR activities are performed in a safe, efficient, professional manner and in compliance with RBI, SOPs and directives.
  • Assist the executive leadership with general administrative support.
  • Maintain employees and departmental phone directories.
  • Maintain employee and client confidentiality.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree
  • Previous experience in human resources, payroll are preferred.
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce is desired.
  • Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
