We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join an established manufacturing team. The schedule for this role is Saturday, Sunday, Monday 6:30am to 7:00pm. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. A primary and critical function of this role is to ensure the highest quality standards are met through rigorous and consistent quality testing at all stages of the machining process. This includes in-process inspections and final quality verification to guarantee that all components meet strict tolerance and quality benchmarks before moving to the next phase of production or assembly. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and an unwavering commitment to producing defect-free work.

Responsibilities:

Able to receive and retain advanced CNC operation, to assist the mills team in producing consistent parts to spec and on schedule.

Load and unload machines.

Dimensionally and visually inspect product.

Quality check lot samples of product.

Change tooling.

Call up programs.

Continuous improvement.

Set tools, calibrate, and operate CNC machines and lathes for various operations

including turning, drilling, boring, threading, tapping, and milling.

Interpret blueprints/engineering drawings.

Work in a team atmosphere to assist/instruct coworkers with machining techniques.

Working hours: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Skills:

Ability to setup and operate mills and lathes in a production environment

Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.

Experience manufacturing to precise tolerances.

Ability to run multiple machines.

Recognize and correct malfunctions.

Ability to quality test product throughout the production process.

Experience quality testing final products strongly preferred.

Qualifications:

Experience in the use of calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, and other standard metrology tools.

Ability to perform routine preventative maintenance on CNC machines to ensure they operate within quality parameters.

Basic troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve minor machine issues that could affect part quality.

Ability to read, write, and understand English.
