Business Development Manager, North Asia

POSITION PURPOSE

The Business Development Manager will work within North Asia zone team reporting to the Head of Business Development, assisting with the brand appropriate growth of Aesop within the various B2B retail channels in North Asia. This role will require developing and building strong and meaningful relationships throughout the Aesop business with decision makers and stakeholders and business partners such as select key accounts. As a zone team member, you will assist to orchestrate the local markets B2B business plans, building brand awareness and exposure whilst driving continued growth aligned with Aesop’s brand positioning, philosophy and overall business plans.

Main Responsibilities

  • Track annual budgets and forecasts, analyse data, assist in reporting and identifying challenges and opportunities.
  • To work on the appropriate frameworks and tools for markets to ensure the growth, longevity and success of the Aesop brand in the zone for B2B channels.
  • Work cross functionally with both zone and market teams - marketing, visual merchandising, training, supply chain, finance, and others to ensure alignment of business goals/plans.
  • Influencing and leading to ensure Aesop B2B business is represented in the best possible way.
  • Be a point of contact to manage and develop select key account within the zone
  • Staying abreast of industry developments, trends to inform decision making and maintain competitiveness.
  • Identify and understand potential new revenue streams and customers, presenting opportunities internally and building the case for opening new partnerships where appropriate.
  • Be an active team member and assist and motivate others whilst being open to continuously learn.

Requirements

  • Experience in B2B channel in beauty, fashion, premium lifestyle consumer goods.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with an ability to use data to build proposals.
  • Hands-on, problem solving and able to communicate ideas and escalate internally when needed.
  • Strategic thinker with understanding the longer-term brand impact of decisions.
  • Demonstrate success in driving growth through building relationships and influencing.
  • Highly organised, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, eye for detail and excellence in execution.
  • Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, Power Bi or any other tools preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal, intercultural skills with the ability to inspire and motivate.
  • Fluency in English & Mandarin.
