As a GenO CSS Consultant, you will work alongside experienced professionals to implement Oracle solutions that drive business success. You will apply industry best practices, Oracle methodologies, and leading technologies to solve complex challenges while gaining hands-on experience.

As part of the Oracle Customer Success Services team, you will be a member of the international network of experts, who will contribute to global technology driven initiatives and innovation programs for continuous service improvements.

Job Description

  • Customer Success Services (CSS) is a unit within Oracle that enables long term advanced support relationships with many of Oracle's largest customers.
  • A Technical consultant provide support in the continuous operational improvement of Oracle environments.
  • Our goal is for every customer to gain ever-more value from their Oracle Solutions by helping them make well informed decisions regarding the implementation, management and use of Oracle technologies.

What you will do:

  • Learn from experts and contribute to customer success using Oracle’s global network.
  • Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs
  • Participates in business development activities. Develops and configures detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.
  • Stay updated on innovations through Oracle’s tools and resources.
  • Collaborate on customer projects with Oracle experts and leaders.
  • Understand client needs and align them with Oracle solutions.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with CSS.
  • Solve problems with guidance while applying Oracle policies.
  • Manage time effectively
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly; Oracle product knowledge is a plus.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Be available for scheduled out-of-hours operations when required.

What you’ll bring

Professional Experience:

Final year IT student or just out of IT majors

Technical Competencies:

Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL language syntax and design.

Logical and algorithmic thinking skills. Candidate must have excellent problem analysis skills and design of efficient database solutions, which is crucial in developing and optimizing complex queries and stored procedures in the database.

Knowledge of data modeling principles and best practices Candidate must have the ability to design effective and scalable data models using best practices.

Ability to reverse engineer code. Candidate must have good skills in reading and understanding existing SQL and PL/SQL code in order to effectively identify potential quality and performance issues and effectively optimize without introducing negative impacts to application performance. Candidate should have the ability to identify less obvious bugs and performance pitfalls such as excessive resource consumption or inefficient loops.

Knowledge of Oracle 19c+ database

Nice to have

Ability to optimize SQL and PL/SQL query optimization. Candidate has good skills in:

  • reading and interpreting Oracle query execution plans,
  • SQL optimization based on the above plans,
  • applying data partitioning techniques to improve query performance,
  • knowledge of other structures and mechanisms to improve the performance of SQL queries and PL/SQL code,
  • Practical use of database performance analysis and monitoring tools.

Knowledge of performance analysis tools. The candidate should be able to put into practice the following additional diagnostic tools for performance analysis:

  • PL/SQL Hierarchical Profiler,
  • AWR,
  • ASH,
  • TKPROF.

Basic knowledge of UNIX class operating systems and bash scripting. Candidate should have knowledge of UNIX/LINUX class systems to the extent necessary to fluently navigate in these environments. Basic familiarity with writing bash shell scripts, including, for example, orchestrating automated tests or automating routine tasks, will be essential.

Ability to create understandable and readable technical documentation of the software being developed. The candidate will be expected to be able to produce technical documentation in Polish or English in a readable and understandable form using MS Word and markdown syntax documents.

Experience in iterative product development: making improvements based on data analysis and user feedback.

Ability to plan and execute tasks in agile teams, including monitoring progress and identifying potential problems.
