Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
- Perform detailed soldering and inspection work on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- The ideal candidate will have strong fine-pitch soldering skills and the ability to identify and correct solder defects using a microscope.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in PCB touch-up/repair
- Proficient in surface mount (SMT) and fine-pitch soldering
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001 standards (certification preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working under a microscope for extended periods
- Must be able to sit for long durations and focus on detailed tasks
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple Windows-based programs
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with potential overtime
- Use a microscope to verify component placement and orientation
- Perform touch-up and rework to correct defects such as:
- Cold solder joints
- Voids or insufficient solder
- Shorts, bridges, tombstoning, or misaligned components
- Conduct post-reflow inspection and manual alignment before soldering
- Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Desired Skills:
- Experience in a LEAN manufacturing environment
- Aptitude for training, mentoring, or team leadership
