The Department of International health is seeking a Research Program Coordinator to assist in a mixed-method research study examining barriers and facilitators to engaging in culturally competent care. The coordinator will also work directly with senior staff and faculty to maintain their submission and approval of materials.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Support IRB application with direction from the PI.
- Reach out to potential interviewees, explain the study, follow study protocols to ensure the safety and confidentiality of study participants.
- Schedule zoom interviews with study respondents.
- Manage study files according to research protocol.
- Assist with internal reports and manuscripts. Opportunities for authorship of manuscripts available.
- Schedule team and ad hoc meetings for the PI.
- Review literature, documents, and revise tables.
- Assist in training and coordinating with research assistants.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy and prioritizing workflow while working on projects.
- Proficient in upholding a high level of confidentiality through adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
- Adept in effectively communicating through strong oral and writing skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or relevant professional experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A self-starter with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to be task oriented, willingness to get clarification when needed, ability to close the loop on projects and follow up when they do not get an immediate response.
- Qualitative research skills.
