They have an application which is an external, client-facing dispatch (supply chain) application. The App is currently written in Ruby on Rails and this candidate will be a critical resource to migrate from Ruby to AngularJS. There are several mobile applications within the environment, so any iOS or Android experience would be a huge plus.

Seeking an Angular Full Stack Developer with Ruby on Rails to join our IT Development team. In this role, you will help design, implement, and support systems used to run logistics operations and optimize the supply chain. Our solutions encompass a wide range of technologies, including AWS Cloud Computing Platform, Mobile Apps, Dispatching Application, consumable data analytics, A.I. models, and emerging technologies. You will support multiple business lines, including scheduling and dispatching for various transport modes such as ships, barges, rail, and trucks, serving our aggregates and business lines.

We are looking for self-motivated individuals with Full Stack Development experience in the logistics and supply chain domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing Dispatching Software from existing Ruby on Rails GUI to Angular JS GUI. The full stack developer will coordinate with internal stakeholders, Product Manger, IT Managers to ensure the new user experience / interface meets the business requirements and expectations.

What You'll Do

• Understand the existing Ruby on Rails applications functionality and user experience and design and develop corresponding User Experience/Interface in Angular JS
• Work with other team members, Product Manager and IT Manager to understand the existing application and develop the same in Angular JS as per new User Experience
• Work with the Offshore development team and coordinate during the development.
• Work with the IT testing team to test the newly developed code/pages. Work with IT Analysts for QA testing and sign-off
• Work with DevOps team and IT manager to deploy the code to Production
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the development and migration phase.
• Contribute to the development of best practices, standards and guidelines
• Become subject matter expert of the dispatch application.
• Provide support for sales and dispatching systems.
• Propose and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, or a related field, or 5 years of full stack development experience.
• Proficiency in Full Stack Development on Angular JS, Ruby On Rails, PL/SQL, data analysis tools in SQL.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• 5-10 years of experience preferred, with opportunities for candidates at all levels.

Knowledge and Skills Required :

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Angular JS, Node JS, Ionic Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, Capacitor experience
• 4-8 years of hands-on experience in frontend technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap etc
• 4-8 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails (Ruby 3.2.3 and above, Rails 7 and above)
• 4-8 years of experience in any one Database (Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL Serer)
• 3-5 years of experience in MobileApps development in Ionic and Android
• Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, writing stored procedures, functions.
• Experience in cloud-based technologies AWS or Azure
• Experience in any one version control system, GitHub or CVS
• Experience in CI/CD release automation and deployment
• Experience in Unix/Linux, Jira board
• Experience with data analysis and interpretation.
• Experience with ETL tool is an added advantage
• Experience in working with IT Analysts and Business Users to gather requirements.
• Excellent documentation, communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Willing to come to the office everyday.

This role is a long-term contract with the right to hire. Will convert anyone and everyone who provides value and fits within their culture. It is onsite 5 days per week (however, the client is employee-friendly, so if there's ever a need to work remotely for a day, this person would be able).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
