Title: Inside Sales Manager

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000

Location: Euless, Texas

Reports To: The Inside Sales Manager will report to Vice President, Structures

The Inside Sales Department is the primary ‘face of the company’ to our customers, agents, and other stakeholders. The Inside Sales team is a factory-based team dedicated to supporting our outside team, therefore limited travel is required with no ‘cold calling’ or prospecting. The focus of this position is to improve response time, formalize and improve customer interactions, set/measure/refine department KPIs to drive continuous improvement and tracking of sales metrics for reporting to the management team.

While steel monopole structures are a technical product, this position will be supported by an established leadership team including Finance & Administration, Project Engineering, Product Engineering, Production and Quality that will facilitate learning and development of this position. While it is not expected that the candidate be familiar with monopole structures, it is expected that the right candidate will be able to understand the retain technical concepts especially as related to sales (performance, price, overall value drivers and reasons behind them).

Success of this position will be measured by department KPIs (e.g. time to quote, response time to customer, accuracy of quotations, etc) as well as overall sales rate and growth. The right candidate should be comfortable outwardly communicating with customers including phone calls, Teams/Zoom meetings, e-mail, and any other method of communication required to service the customer and agent.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Review and understand project drawings and written specifications.
  • Manage daily task list for the department to ensure all RFQs are being addressed and scheduled to meet the needs of the customer and the overall capacity of the department.
  • Review and improve customer service to outside sales agents, distributors, and end users on active projects.
  • Work with contemporary managers to develop knowledge about company products to ensure that the company is offering the best product for the project and ensure the Inside Sales team is providing the outside team with the tips, tricks and data needed to validate our offering and demonstrate the key selling points and why it is the best solution for the project.
  • Ensure quotations are accurate and clearly documented. Review and improve quote forms and templates to ensure clear, concise, and professional quotations.
  • Meet regularly with leadership team to provide the “voice of the customer” regarding our successes, failures, and areas of improvement.
  • Develop methods to improve customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) or 5 years minimum relevant experience
  • Experience in a customer service or sales field
  • Experience working in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software like Insightly, Salesforce or others.
  • Ability to understand 2D project drawings and plans (Civil, Electrical and/or architectural)
  • Familiarity with Key Performance Indicators and how they can be used to drive meaningful results.
  • Experience managing a team (sales or customer service).
  • Ability to understand technical concepts.
  • Experience reviewing, understanding, and performing takeoffs of civil and architectural plans is a plus.
