Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $83,000.00 - $126,875.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

5 years of experience in Healthcare setting. Extensive knowledge of orthopedics, spine, and biologic implants. Five years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, two of which specialize in the Orthopedics product spend category.

POSITION & UNIT ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Maintains Documentation & Manages Information - Reviews contracts. Reviews contracts, terms and conditions, and ramifications of contractual verbiage as it relates to the product, service, supplier in question and those ramifications within the hospital. Develops contracts supporting HSS business requirements, including clearly defined service expectations/goods specifications, performance measurement practices and shortfall remedies.
  • Maintains Documentation & Manages Information - Manages contracts. Manages and enhances existing contracts with key suppliers through quarterly business reviews. Identifies and implements changes to help strengthen business partnerships.
  • Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff - Oversees supplier selection and contracting. Establishes business cases supporting sourcing recommendations. Conducts negotiations with suppliers on pricing and contractual terms and conditions and develops contracts supporting HSS business requirements, including clearly defined service expectations/goods specifications, performance measurement practices and shortfall remedies.
  • Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff - Analytics Skills. Analyzes and interprets data both financially and qualitatively to present, interpret outcomes, and makes data driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Achieves Professional & Business Objectives - Conducts market evaluations. Interprets market and competitive intelligence through formal and informal processes. Advocates competitive decisionmaking in the most efficient, least resourceintense process and evaluates supplier capabilities to meet HSS needs through fair and thorough techniques.
  • Achieves Professional & Business Objectives - Defines sourcing strategies. Defines sourcing strategies that optimize value considering requestor/enduser needs and market conditions. Ensures the team achieves project timing, service, and savings objectives. Identify the most beneficial means to access markets and drive the supplier’s behavior accordingly.
  • Achieves Professional & Business Objectives - Provides project sourcing. Assess needs and initiates projects with key stakeholders based on high spend profile, potential for savings, upcoming contract expirations, process improvement, capital projects, and value analysis related initiatives.
  • Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff - Drives departmental cultureDrives departmental culture and promotes datadriven decisionmaking, consumerdriven analytics, marketing, and investment planning across the department.
  • Achieves Professional & Business Objectives - Provides visibility. Provides management visibility into datadriven insights that informs the department’s strategic direction and KPI’s and determines the adoption of suitable toolsets that drive innovation.
  • Achieves Professional & Business Objectives - Assess sourcing events. Assess the total financial value of sourcing events, identify risks of growth opportunities as well as provide analytics that will position the business for dynamic growth.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably healthcare administration/finance.

SKILLS REQUIRED

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: The Strategic Sourcing Manager must be detail oriented, be comfortable working in a collaborative setting including senior executives, be selfmotivated requiring minimal supervision, be proactive, be a creative strategic and independent thinker, have superior problemsolving skills, have an ability to work on multiple projects, have a positive cando attitude, and demonstrate calmness and composure in times of uncertainty and stress. LEADERSHIP SKILLS: The Strategic Sourcing Manager must demonstrate an ability to inspire and lead a crossfunctional group in a unified direction with a common vision. The role will also demonstrate an ability to influence the decisionmaking process using data and analytics. COMPUTER PROGRAM/SOFTWARE SKILLS:ERP platforms and OR Inventory Management Systems.
