The program security officer will provide comprehensive security assistance and oversite to all facets of the program security, including, personnel, physical, technical, industrial, and operational security.

Core responsibilities of the position include:

• Provide security advice and support program personnel and industry partners on personnel security, such as required paperwork for personnel security clearances; appropriate clearance levels; tracking/checking status; ensuring paperwork is complete prior to submission; and ensuring the personnel security database of record is accurate and current.
• Provide expert security advice and assistance to customer, industrial partners and venders.
• Assist and provide advice regarding Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Control System, including classification management and classification review of information specifically protected under the program office.
• Brief and debrief program and contractor personnel into/out of compartmented programs. Ensure accurate personnel security data is documented/represented in sponsor’s system(s) of record.
• Investigate security incidents and potential security violations.
• Monitor Special Access Programs (SAP).

Required experience:

• 2-5 years’ experience performing PSO functions for national security.
• Experience working in Special Access Programs (SAP).
• Working knowledge of the NISPOM, DCIDS, ICDs, and Executive Orders, to ensure security compliance.
• Experience supporting compartmented programs.
• Possess basic understanding of COMSEC functions.
• US government issued TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required at time of application.
