This position plays a key role on the Horticulture Services team assisting in the installation and maintenance of trees and landscape plantings in Parks in Montgomery County. Other key work includes providing maintenance support to 14 Community Gardens and native landscape plantings at two Park Nature Centers. As part of the Horticulture, Forestry and Environmental Education Division, this is a fantastic opportunity to be surrounded by staff who will inspire you to expand your horticulture knowledge. Working Conditions:
Primarily works outside but may work inside on occasion or as assigned. May work weekends, evenings and holidays. Occasionally exposed to inclement weather, dirt, waste, odors, caustic chemicals, pesticides, wildlife and potentially harmful insects (e.g., bees, hornets, wasps) and plants (e.g., poison ivy). Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds and regularly up to 50 pounds.

Eligibility
You have 45 days from your hire date to elect your benefits. Your coverage begins on the first of the month following receipt of your enrollment forms and required documentation.
