As Operations Supervisor, you'll become a key member of the Wallenius Wilhelmsen operations team, supporting the Operations Manager in our high-productivity Equipment Processing Center in Brunswick, GA.

Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Oversee operations at Wallenius Wilhelmsen Equipment Processing Center.
  • Lead continuous process improvements to achieve a safe and cost-efficient work environment that meets performance targets.
  • Responsible for promoting a safe work environment for all employees and visitors.
  • Examine accidents, incidents, and near misses to ensure measures are implemented to avert future occurrences. Document and distribute learned lessons and ensure all reports are shared, submitted promptly and correctly.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of current practices, and coordinate with leads to ensure organization of daily work for the crew.
  • Foster an environment of positive employee relations and employee involvement.
  • Perform corrective actions if needed.

Job Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 5 or more years supervisory experience in manufacturing, logistics, or import export
  • Solid understanding of revenue drivers and efficiency standards to deliver positive financial results
  • Experience leading continuous process improvements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software applications

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional shop/yard environment. Frequent exposure to the elements (such as dust, dirt, rain,) and chemicals (such as fumes and fluids) occur during operation of construction and agricultural equipment, cranes, forklifts, welding, painting, etc. This position will utilize standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printer/copiers.

The pay or salary range listed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum projected rate of pay for the specific position across our United States locations. Equally as important, as a team member, individual earnings may consider knowledge, skills, abilities, work location and related factors. The current starting salary rate for this position is $66,000. Wallenius Wilhelmsen team members are also eligible for annual merit-based salary adjustments, and participation in competitive benefit programs. Some roles in the company may offer an additional annual bonus. Additional details on salary or pay ranges and benefits will be available through the interview and employment process. Salary or pay ranges are separate from bonus opportunities and/or benefit plans.
