THE JOB:

The Director of Finance Operations leads the development and execution of strategic financial objectives, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. This role oversees day-to-day financial operations across gaming and non-gaming areas, working in close partnership with the Finance Shared Services Center, Corporate Centers of Excellence (CoEs), and Gaming Regulators. The Director builds strong relationships with operational teams and regulatory agencies, driving credibility and resolution of financial inquiries. Additionally, the role focuses on identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and operational effectiveness.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Ensure operational finance functions align with the strategic goals of the department, division, and property.
  • Oversee daily financial operations across gaming and non-gaming areas in coordination with internal teams and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead Human Resources responsibilities within the department, including fostering a collaborative team culture, delivering performance feedback, supporting recognition and development efforts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards.
  • Develop and implement property-specific finance programs, policies, and procedures related to casino finance, accounting, audit, and state/county regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure compliance and update internal processes as necessary.
  • Identify and drive process improvement initiatives in partnership with operators and Corporate Centers of Excellence (CoEs).
  • Maintain effective working relationships with the Finance Shared Services Center, CoEs, regulatory agencies, and operational leaders to resolve issues, provide financial insight, and support decision-making.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of relevant experience in financial accounting, general ledger management, and the gaming industry.
  • They will hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Management, or have equivalent work experience; a CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
  • This candidate should demonstrate expertise with financial systems such as Infinium, AS400, Showcase Strategy, Cognos Finance, Cognos BI, and gaming-related systems, including Players Club.
  • A strong understanding of regulatory compliance—specifically within gaming, federal, state, and licensing frameworks—is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, collaborative, and detail-oriented, with a proven track record of overseeing financial operations in complex, regulated environments.
