Our primary technology, supporting our ATARS product, enables pilots to simulate the cognitive challenges of flying while accessing realistic, scalable training in dynamic outdoor environments.

The Role

We’re seeking a Technical Recruiter with a laser focus on sourcing to help us proactively build top-of-funnel pipelines across a range of highly specialized technical roles. You’ll work closely with our lead recruiter to identify, attract, and engage exceptional candidates in both software and hardware engineering domains, with a priority on difficult-to-fill, mission-critical roles.

This role is all about the hunt — uncovering hidden talent, sparking meaningful candidate conversations, and driving sourcing efforts that fuel the growth of Red 6’s technical teams.

This role is a temporary position through the end of November 2025

The Role

  • Design and execute creative sourcing strategies for a range of roles including:
    • Software: Software Engineers (C++), Computer Vision Engineers, R&D Software Engineers, Embedded Systems Engineers.
    • Hardware: Systems Engineers, Chief Engineers, Hardware Technicians, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers.
  • Partner closely with the recruiting team and hiring managers to prioritize requisitions, understand technical needs, and adapt sourcing strategies accordingly.
  • Source, engage, and convert passive candidates using platforms like LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, Google Boolean/X-ray search, and specialized forums.
  • Build and maintain robust, diverse pipelines for highly specialized and hard-to-fill technical roles.
  • Conduct initial screenings to assess technical alignment, motivation, and overall fit.
  • Act as a brand ambassador in all outreach efforts, delivering an authentic and compelling Red 6 message.
  • Track and manage candidate interactions through our ATS and sourcing tools.
  • Use data to analyze sourcing performance and make continuous improvements.
  • Experiment with sourcing automation, tools, and community engagement to deepen reach.

Experience, Skills and Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of technical recruiting experience with a strong emphasis on sourcing, particularly for difficult-to-fill roles.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing for both hardware and software engineering roles.
  • Skilled in creative sourcing strategies, Boolean search, X-ray, and candidate engagement techniques.
  • Deep familiarity with technical skill sets, especially in C++, embedded systems, mechanical/electrical engineering, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience using modern recruiting and ATS tools (e.g., Lever, Greenhouse, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; highly autonomous and proactive.
  • Qualified candidates must have the ability to obtain a security clearance. This requires U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background recruiting in defense, aerospace, AR/VR, or hardware-integrated software environments.
  • Familiarity with ITAR, Export Control, and/or cleared candidate requirements.
  • Experience supporting fast-paced, startup-style growth environments.
