Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a knowledgeable professional to join our team as a quality control lab system administrator. In this role, you will take a leading role in implementing, maintaining, supporting, and developing the Quality Department’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), as well as its integrated software and applications for the quality control laboratory and related groups. This role will help assess and develop improvements to the laboratory’s workflow in relation to LIMS usage, including sample chain of custody, and developing report templates for reporting results, performance, and creating certificates of analysis (CofA).

What You Will Do as a USANA Quality Control Lab System Administrator

  • Utilize LIMS to produce reports for data trending and departmental metrics tracking
  • Train team members regarding LIMS operations and procedures
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new functionality within LIMS and interfacing instruments and applications
  • Collaborate with IT and LIMS support groups to ensure optimal functionality and rapid troubleshooting, and solutions to issues involving the LIMS applications
  • Assist in the validation of the LIMS's software and verify the successful implementation of future revisions and software upgrades, or patches in conjunction with the IT department
  • Collaborate with management to maintain and improve GLP and GDP adherence within QC and R&D operations

Background and Skills You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, Information Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or other relevant discipline
  • 1+ years’ experience in a laboratory environment or a GMP, GDP regulated Quality position
  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation and software preferred
  • Knowledge of Agile and Oracle ERP is preferred
  • Ability to understand and perform scientific and statistical mathematical functions
