The Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) organization owns Amazon's global inventory management systems: we decide what, when, where, and how much we should buy to meet Amazon's business goals and to make our customers happy. We do this for millions of items, for hundreds of product lines worth billions of dollars of inventory worldwide. Our systems are built entirely in-house and consist of automated, large-scale business operations, inventory and supply chain planning, and optimization systems. We foster new game-changing ideas, creating ever more intelligent and self-learning systems to maximize the efficiency of Amazon's inventory investment and placement decisions.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Automated Inventory Management team within SCOT. In this role, you will design and implement analytical models and tools that will enhance our systems auditing capabilities. The role involves developing advanced algorithms, metrics frameworks, dashboards, and automated workflow systems.
The ideal candidate excels in quantitative data mining and modeling, with the ability to tackle complex, ambiguous problems from concept to execution. You will need strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with software developers, business owners, and product managers, while confidently presenting insights to senior leadership to drive business improvements. Your expertise should span data warehousing, data architecture, high-performance self-service tools, and data analytics. As part of our team, you'll work closely with other Business Intelligence Engineers to solve organizational challenges at scale, helping build a robust data products foundation while delivering business-critical solutions.
