The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an AWS Systems Engineer! As an engineer, you will be able to identify and develop/enhance detailed security configurations, solutions, and guidance that address data protection requirements within highly regulated environments for system developers migrating applications and systems into the AWS cloud. You will also coordinate the research and collaboration within the team and with other security teams, development teams, and AWS to ensure recommendations can be incorporated into system architectures within a standardized AWS Landing Zone environment (making recommendations to improvements/changes to the Landing Zone as needed).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop or recommend guidance or measures for cloud-based solutions that ensure compliance with Government security and regulatory requirements such as NIST SP 800-53 security controls and various agency specialized directives and requirements for sensitive data.
  • Meet weekly with Govt Task Lead to discuss deliverable and expectations
  • Collaborate with cloud-focused teams across various organizations to design, test, and implement secure, and reliable cloud-based solutions.
  • Facilitate the creation of procedures and cybersecurity guidance for migrations from legacy cloud environments or hardware environments into AWS
  • Evaluate cloud security technologies and common services and make recommendations for their use

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required
  • Minimum 4 Years of AWS Cloud architecture and design experience
  • Ability to manage meetings and teams
  • 20 years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required. Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • One of the following AWS certifications:
  • o AWS Certified Developer – Associate or Professional
  • o AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
  • o AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
  • o AWS Certified Security – Specialty
  • o AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional

Desired:

  • Technical writing experience with a security focus.
  • Strong Communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Experience with agency Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC) requirements and services
  • Experience with enterprise-scale AWS cloud environments/AWS Landing Zone Accelerator
