Purpose of the role

The Digital and Technology team of General Mills India Centre is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the Global Digital Transformation initiative at General Mills in capacity of a Lead Process Automation Engineer. This role will report into the Manager of the General Mills Process Automation Talent Acceleration Center (TAC) and functionally collaborate with our Global Process Automation Team. In this technical role, the Lead Process Automation Engineer will help drive the success of digital transformation, Low Code, and Automation efforts at General Mills, by leading, designing, and delivering innovative solutions leveraging multiple technologies such as Low Code No code, Workflow, API Integrations, Cloud, Bots, Automate Evolve for SAP, AI/ML, and Agents.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Managers, Architects, and the team to grasp the product vision and roadmap.
• Assist in the design, development, support, and maintenance of Automations and Custom Low Code Applications. (Web UI, Workflows, CRUD Apps.)
• Analyse and address complex, multi-faceted issues across the entire technology stack, necessitating collaboration across teams and technology boundaries.
• Integrate Low-Code Apps with enterprise tools like SAP, GCP, SQL.
• Develop Custom Inbound & Outbound APIs.
• Oversee Low-Code platforms, infrastructure, security, and modernization projects.
• Guide and implement the roadmap execution among internal and external teams in India and the US, including establishing coding standards and enforcing them through code reviews to ensure scalability of solutions.
• Continuously enhance solution reliability and key metrics, such as uptime, application performance, issue resolution time, time spent on incident resolution, and other critical operational SLAs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education - A full-time degree from an accredited university is required (Note: This is the minimum educational requirement and cannot be changed)
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information systems, Computer science, or a related field is necessary.
• 12-13 years of relevant experience in design, hands-on development, Full Stack Development, DevOps, & Database Development is required.
• Proficiency with development technologies such as Microsoft C# .NET CORE, Python, Relational Databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is essential.
• Expertise in front-end frameworks, preferably REACT and Angular, is needed.
• A strong technical grasp of Cloud (preferably GCP) and Microservices architecture, along with the ability to develop services that adhere to best practices and utilize AI-enhanced development, is important.
• Experience with developer productivity tools like GitHub Copilot and AI-driven development is beneficial.
• Knowledge of integration technologies such as MuleSoft and API gateway integration is a plus.
• Strong analytical abilities, stakeholder management skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
