OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Communications Manager to join our growing team and work across multiple high profile and fast paced accounts.

You will be responsible for delivering PR and communications as part of integrated campaigns for major brands and sports rights holders.

We are looking for someone with proven expertise across strategic communications and media relations, ideally experience working across a range of different consumer brands and/or sports, including cricket, rugby and golf.

The role of a Manager within the Communications team will require involvement in nurturing and development of junior members of the team, whilst also providing support to the senior team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Campaign planning aligned to client insights on target audience, objectives, suitability of media outlets / platforms and budget parameters, as well as KPI setting.
  • Implementation and campaign roll out in conjunction with rights holders and sister agencies, and general account management of suppliers, budget and client reporting.
  • Campaign review, interpretation of measurement results and recommendations to the clients
  • Management of key relationships with client, rights holders and suppliers
  • Implementation of all aspects of the communications campaign including media outreach & engagement, talent appearance planning & usage, competition builds & management, general communications, press releases and content dissemination
  • Event & press day logistics and talent management
  • Support the senior team to drive weekly status meetings, planning and review sessions
  • Budget management
  • Production of campaign review documents
  • Team management (at least one Communications Executive)

Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop clear and concise internal and external presentations and reporting
  • Demonstrate appropriate behaviours, conduct and professionalism in all inter-personal, written and verbal communications
  • Track time and financial expenses on a day-to-day basis

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Agency experience is preferred but not essential
  • Experience working with large global consumer brands and rights holders is preferred, but not essential
  • Ability to multi-task; you will be working across a number of activities and clients with tight deadlines
  • Experience managing team members and ensuring actions are delegated and completed in a timely manner as set out in client scope of work
  • Presentation skills (both writing and delivery), internally and to clients / suppliers including use of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Creative thinking
  • Ability to anticipate problems / issues and suggest proactive resolutions to be put into place
  • Attention to detail and organisation critical
