Fairview Range is hiring a Mental Health Practitioner for our inpatient Behavioral Health Department in Hibbing, MN.

As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe therapeutic milieu under the direction and supervision of the BH Director and the BH Service Line Social Worker Supervisor. To provide group and individual therapy to patients on the acute unit under the supervision of LICSW. In addition, assist and observe patients on the unit so that the goals and objectives of the treatment are achieved.

Schedule: This is an ONSITE position working 72-80 hours per two weeks. A standard schedule may consist of 8 or 12-hour shifts, encompassing both day and evening rotations, with work required every third weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Provide group and individual therapy.
  • Assesses and implements individual and group therapy programming utilizing current evidence-based practices based on the needs of the patient population.
  • Collects, records, and maintains patient data.
  • Provides resources and education to patients.
  • Collaborates with providers, nurses, and other treatment team members to provide patient with the most effective treatment.
  • Assist in keeping supplies and equipment organized and in working condition.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Establish effective relationships with health care team members.
  • Demonstrate skill in utilizing psychologically based information to establish good interpersonal relationships.
  • Able to prioritize and organize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work well independently.
  • Demonstrates and implements verbal de-escalation as evidenced by minimal special interventions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • BCS certification, current or obtains within 90 Days
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) within 180 Days
  • MHP, or eligible within first 2,000 hours or four years of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year psychiatric in-patient care experience
  • Group therapy experience

Qualifications

$19.81-$28.52 Hourly
