Job Description
A new operations position opening with tremendous potential for a progressive growth career path with a multinational company. Bring your experience in Quality Inspector skills to Harsco Rail, where you will have the opportunity to build a career with highly engineered products and join a great team that delivers these products across the globe.
You will select and use all necessary instruments as required in making inspection such as coordinate measuring machines, sine bars, comparators, gauge blocks, micrometers, vernier scales, surface indicators, hardness testers, computer programs for analysis of data, etc. to perform the required quality verification. You will perform first piece inspection, supplier capabilities, gauge R & R studies and other quality plans as they pertain to the manufacturing and or purchased material. You will prepare Subcontract P.O.'s, DPO's, request a show of demand when needed. You approve or reject parts as necessary. You will maintain communications with all departments in the effort to resolve any quality characteristics in question to ensure that the Quality Management System protocol is being followed. You will perform internal audits for compliance to the ISO 9001:2008 standards. You will prepare weekly Quality Assurance reports & keys in Calibration & Receiving Inspection data as required. You will assist departmental personnel with the execution of Corrective and Preventative Actions, Root Cause Analysis and Action items as needed. You will maintain the Certificate of Calibration documentation records on all gage assets. You will perform weekly 5S of work areas.
We prefer a candidate with Fabrication and Machining background experience for these openings.
Hours are 2pm - 10pm
