Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Perform Discrete Devices and IC (complex test structure / parametric) Failure Analysis [FA] on wafer and package level from electrical verification, fault isolation and physical root cause analysis.
- Prepare FA reports that can lead to root cause finding and corrective action to cross functional team.
- Participate and present FA results in cross functional meetings, projects, yield improvement, urgent and important meetings. FA equipment / tool ownership.
- Interface with test, product, process integration and unit process engineers to understand the analysis requirement.
- Support development of new FA skills and techniques to enhance analysis quality, speed and cost
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Degree / Master / Ph D in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Physics
- 4+ years in Failure Analysis field or 4+ years in Semiconductor Manufacturing Industry.
- Familiar with Advanced Electrical Failure Verification and Localization (i.e. bench test integration, high power localization, high kV testing and probing, active probe, LIVA/TIVA), Advanced sample preparation (i.e. wet/dry chemical, backside preparation, package preparation), Imaging (i.e. optical, SEM and FIB), Repackaging skill(i.e. COB, Basic CAD Navigation System Semiconductor processing), wafer fabrication and assembly process.
- Well understanding of semiconductor technology, devices, layout and electronic circuit.
- Business Expertise: Knowledge of own function’s contributions to achieving business objectives Solid knowledge of FA processes and internal standards in use.
- Basic knowledge in risk management and legal requirements.
- Leadership: No direct supervisory responsibility needed.
- Problem Solving: Capability to evaluate situations with some level of complexity using information.
The above experience/knowledge is advantageous, but not a prerequisite.
Those working in industry in different field, but would like to switch to failure analysis will be considered.
