About the division:
Metropolitan Transportation Services (MTS), conducts planning for the regional transportation system that includes highways, transit, aviation, freight, and bicycle and pedestrian connections. The Metropolitan Council is the regions federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization. MTS also provides direct transit service through contracts or partnerships with counties to deliver six major programs: Metro Mobility/ADA, Transit Link Dial-a-Ride, contracted regular-route bus service, micro-transit, Metro Move, and Metro Vanpool.
How your work would contribute to our organization and the Twin Cities region:
The Reporting and Data Analyst Manager typically oversees the collection, management, and interpretation of data to support business operations. Responsibilities include:
1. Identify official data sources, create interface and develop reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, to track KPIs, manager ad hoc requests and regular required measurements (such as the monthly Bonus & Credit processes used to measure contractor performance).
2. Provide data science and analytical expertise, to monitor trends and gather insight for additional tracking metrics or operational improvements to ensure contractor performance and customer service goals are being met.
3. Monitor, audit, and maintain reports to ensure data accuracy and rationalize reports as business processes or report requirements change.
4. Supervise the work of a Business Analyst for systems support (TRAPEZE, APEX, MTS Invoicing/Incident) to ensure business-critical systems are operational and maintained to support business needs.
5. Maintain a knowledge base (through education and learning) to act as an expert resource to ensure best practices for analytics/reporting and act as a business representative with IS for supporting initiatives and development.

Full Salary: $45.05 -$73.11 hourly/ $93,704 -$152,069 annually
Anticipated Hiring Range: $93,704 - $130,000 annually.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a standard office setting and in the field. Requires conducting field inspections and off site duties as required. Position has exposure to working near moving parts, fumes airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions and vibration. Some positions may require travel between primary worksite to other sites.
