We are looking for a Sr. System - Test engineer/Sr. System Integration Specialist with a strong understanding of software systems, integration patterns, and interoperability between components and platforms. The ideal candidate will have a broad view of system architecture, hands-on experience with interoperability testing, and strong system-level debugging skills to identify and resolve complex issues in collaboration with right stakeholders. A fundamental understanding of software development principles is essential to work effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to end-to-end product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute system-level and interoperability test cases across components, platforms, or services.
  • Validate interactions between different subsystems, APIs, protocols, or modules to ensure seamless end-to-end functionality.
  • Identify, isolate, and debug complex issues that span across multiple layers (hardware, OS, middleware, application).
  • Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and QA teams to improve integration and system stability.
  • Analyze logs, traces, and diagnostic information to drive issue resolution and improve system observability.
  • Participate in requirements analysis and design discussions to ensure testability and quality early in the lifecycle.
  • Support continuous integration and continuous testing pipelines with system-level regression coverage.
  • On need basis, zeal to automate repetitive system-level tests where feasible, using scripting or appropriate automation frameworks.
  • Derive strategies to achieve shift left.
  • Groom/mentor junior developers/Automation testers on test automation and applicable framework.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in software design and development using C# .Net, WPF, WCF, C++, ASP.Net.
  • Strong system-level thinking and ability to visualize how components interact within a complex ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with interoperability (interOp) testing across APIs, platforms, or protocols.
  • In-depth debugging skills at the system level (e.g., OS logs, network traces, memory dumps, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of software development & testing processes, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Ruby, Batch, etc.) and test automation tools.
  • Exposure interfacing with customers, Incident managers, RSC, HSC, 3rd level support, App specialists, etc.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and build solid relationships with individuals at all levels.
  • Exposure to Win/Linux/Unix environments, embedded systems.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills for effective cross-team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with performance, scalability, or reliability testing at the system level.
  • Familiarity with virtualization, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), or microservices testing.
