As a Staff Environmental Scientist, you are an important part of our environmental team. You will review projects for environmental concerns, write, coordinate, and track environmental permits (wetland permits, stormwater permits, endangered species reviews, etc.), write reports and coordinate with regulatory agencies. You will provide field and desktop wetland determinations, endangered species review, and field inspections. You will work with the environmental team to keep projects on-schedule, and project activities well-organized.

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and minimum 2 years’ experience.
  • Experience in the genres of wetlands, stormwater, and/or endangered species is preferred.
  • At least some field experience is preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS (ArcPro, ArcMap, ArcOnline, etc.) is preferred.
  • Good technical writing skills
  • Detail-focused and well-organized, with good problem-solving skills
  • Able to work as part of a team, yet be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
