Job Description:

Description: The Inventory Control Clerk II coordinates all clinical and non-clinical supply ordering and receiving. This job provides back-up to other staff as needed.

Typical Duties:

  1. Serves both the interdepartmental and intradepartmental customers; interacts with outside agencies and vendors as well.
  2. Inventories and orders pharmaceutical and medical supplies in accordance with PAR levels.
  3. Maintains work area/stock in accordance with regulatory and safety standards.
  4. Organizes and maintains cleanliness of stock room(s).
  5. Ensures treatment areas have appropriate type and volume of supplies to facilitate patient care.
  6. Assists manager with product selection by interfacing with vendors, as requested.
  7. Assists central supply and pharmacy supervisor to develop and maintain PAR levels of supplies.
  8. Acts as a resource to departmental staff regarding emergency department supply items.
  9. Performs other job related duties as assigned.
