You will make real-time decisions based on the day’s events, create content, write copy, communicate directly with our publisher partners, and oversee the team’s social-media strategy.

Description

• Select articles and create assets for featuring on social media, with an emphasis on quality, accuracy, and context. * Shape social-media strategy, including video, alongside key stakeholders. * Forge relationships with publisher partners for collaborations on social media. * Work with the Apple News design team on social-media deliverables and special-event coverage. * Write sharp and engaging copy in the Apple News voice. Work with editors to ensure your work meets all aspects of our house style and standards. * Work cross-functionally to support News projects and goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years working in social media for a media company
• Strong editorial judgment and excellent writing skills
• Fluency in Photoshop and video-editing software
• A keen sense of what works on social-media platforms and how to capture an audience’s attention
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Ability to collaborate and work productively across a large organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating and overseeing social-video strategy for a media company
• Experience with covering breaking news and delivering clear, concise copy on deadline
• Experience working cross-functionally with design, marketing, and engineering teams

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $158,100 and $237,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
