Our EMI team in San Diego, CA is always looking for great talent and especially people who enjoy solving difficult problems in a creative way. Engineering Mechanics and Infrastructure (EMI) applies engineering mechanics, materials science, numerical simulation, innovative technologies, and collective expertise to solve our clients’ toughest problems in an inspiring work environment that nurtures life-long learning and growth. A successful candidate for EMI may work on design, analysis, licensing/regulatory, and research projects related to buildings, bridges, pipelines, nuclear facilities, tanks, rail vehicles, rotating equipment, precision observatory structures, and other non-building critical infrastructure systems.
In this role you will work alongside the Principal in EMI San Diego, to manage delivery of projects including complex finite element analysis, structural dynamics, seismic design for extreme earthquake events, design of rotating and vibrating equipment supports, pressure vessels, liquid storage tanks, vibration mitigation, impact/blast, aircraft impact assessment, anchorage to concrete, and equipment seismic testing and certification/qualification. Partnering with a diverse range of owners, agencies, utilities, and research organizations, you will bring broad perspective and creative solutions.
Location: San Diego, CA. preferred. Newport Beach, CA or Remote will be considered.

SGH has an opening for a Senior Project Manager (SPM). This is an experienced technical manager, leadership-track, and shareholder position with responsibilities generally consistent with ASCE Grade V and will include the following:
What You’ll Need:
SPMs apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. SPMs make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and they represent the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work. Requires the use of advance techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of sciences and disciplines. The knowledge and expertise required for this level of work results from progressive experience.

The below range is a good faith estimate pursuant to applicable equal pay and pay transparency laws. The actual salary offered will be based on several factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications and work location.
Base salary is a part of SGH’s industry leading Total Compensation package. Our Total Compensation package includes base salary, pay for extra hours worked, an annual discretionary bonus program, generous paid time off, and health and wellness benefits with a special emphasis on substantial SGH contributions to medical insurance premiums and SGH’s Profit Sharing & 401(k) Plan.
Senior Project Manager:
$135,200—$178,880 USD
