Logitech is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to contribute to the development and testing of a high-performance embedded camera solution. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and applying quality assurance protocols to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of the product. This includes extensive manual testing of hardware and software components, system debugging, and maintaining compliance with company quality standards and applicable regulations.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with a strong understanding of embedded audio/video systems and testing methodologies across complex environments. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Create comprehensive test plans for complex video conferencing products with embedded operating systems.
  • Analyze Product Requirement Documents (PRD) and derive relevant test plans, updating them as the project develops.
  • Develop, enhance, and execute test cases independently with minimal supervision.
  • Execute manual testing, focusing on hardware peripherals such as cameras, webcams, and audio speakerphones across PC, Mac, Linux, Chromeboxes, and mobile devices.
  • Validate product functionality across environments by addressing network considerations such as latency, jitter, packet loss, etc.
  • Test the user interface (UI) as well as the back-end processes, ensuring secure data transmission from devices to the cloud and back.
  • Diagnose and distinguish issues coming from hardware, firmware, host devices, or network environments.
  • Gather critical information for debugging and escalate findings to the development team promptly.
  • Effectively interact and collaborate with Development, Product and Program Management teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Use JIRA and Zephyr to manage projects, create reports, track execution progress, and utilize dashboards for insights.
  • Maintain detailed logs of product statuses and testing outcomes to ensure project alignment.
  • Configure robust testing environments, including PC, Mac, Linux, Chromeboxes, with knowledge of USB certification and audio/video application setups.
  • Set up test systems to support Bluetooth, WiFi, and mobile applications interacting with devices.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 7+ years experience testing embedded systems, including designing necessary tests and executing them.
  • Validating hardware peripherals and software applications on PC, Mac, and mobile platforms.
  • Ensure security measures are verified and adhered to during testing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design patterns, scalability, reliability, and performance testing.
  • Proficiency in using JIRA and Zephyr for project tracking and test suite management.
  • Flexible and adaptable to handle multiple projects and recurring trial runs simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working with globally distributed teams and directly reporting to overseas team members.
  • Confident in taking calculated risks and providing justifications for decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail when tracking product statuses and test cases.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with scripting languages like Python
  • Exposure to backend/cloud API and database validation via Restful APIs
  • Automation tools such as Selenium.
  • Ability to propose and implement improvements/enhancements via techn
