The role of Business Development Manager for SAS is to be the expert for Electrolube Adhesive and Thermal materials technologies and applications and use that knowledge and expertise to drive business in close collaboration with the sales teams. Furthermore, this role coordinates all activities with LOB and Applications centers to win the business.
1. To drive the creation, implementation, and execution of the regional business development strategy for the area under responsibility, by working closely with business units, SA, Sales management team in alignment with company growth strategies.
2. Become and maintain the expert on specific new products or combination of products to be able to drive the sales of these products in defined market, customer, or application segments based on deep technical insights.
3. Takes the lead in driving, coordinating, prioritizing and supporting sales opportunities and together LOB decides and sales
4. Be the main contact person/interface between the region and the line of business, specifically regarding our breakthrough strategic initiatives.
5. Be the trusted advisor for customers building long term relationships along with the sales teams
6. Drive and support the value sell of our solutions and translate that to real customer value
7. Advice, supports with, and addresses customer qualification and implementation issues for area of responsibility
8. Where needed train selected salespeople on the “how to sell” of these products/technologies under care with focus on recognizing opportunities and the value that our solutions bring.
9. Leverage the sales teams to generate sales leads and expand the customer base, markets and/or applications
10. Continuously works on developing self and others in the best interest of the company.
